Seeking the Sunshine

Farabi 2004 (Dhaka)

I can see the shining sun over the horizon
but desire to perceive the sunshine too.
Don’t know whether nectar is waiting or poison
Obscurity ahead, I'm following the scarlet line drawn on the dune
Uncertain destinations are hard to pursue.
I can feel the heated air trembling my vision
I can feel the reality becoming an illusion.
I can feel the sharpness of sand beneath my feet
This is the place where hallucinations often deceive.
Making their way in the purple sky, hawks are hovering
do they belong to the same mission?
Enormous sky has already given way to dark clouds
That roar symbolizes their aggression.
Sand storm is coming!
All around is dingy
Life's been always between two choices
It feels good when thee find an oasis.
Again, I'm walking forward leaving my footprints behind
Numerous unwanted truths are still to find.
Don’t want them but need to know
Undesirable things often knock at the door.
And I'm not afraid of death
but I want to live till the last breath.
I also want to make this life worthy for the hereafter,
that one is waiting after this chapter.
