A ray of sunshine

Sherry Kinnard 1968 (Arizona)

A ray of sunshine,
A flash of lightning,
A sparkling star,
These are the things we are always told we are!
As we get older and start to fade,
Our lights are not as bright,
Our flash of lightning turns to gloomy grey,
Our sparkling star turns to dust and all but fades away,
We wish we had the sparkle of yesterday, but we can if we
Just had the people that believed in us that way!
