Squash

Avis Dillon 0937 (South Dak.)

I was walking down the street one day
When suddenly in my path
Was an itsy, bitsy, teeny yellow polka dot giraffe.
I picked him up and took him home,
And when I set him down,
He began to dance the Charleston
And he really went to town!
I took him to an agent;
A real good friend of mine.
He signed me to a contract...
I got one-tenth; he got nine.
We opened at the Palace,
Then the Gardens and the Met,
And my giraffe just packed them in...
He really was a hit!
We were sitting 'round the dressing room
Musing about fates,
When my giraffe looked me in the eye
And said, "Man, I want UNION rates."
I'm back upon the street again,
My one-tenth - it is gone,
When suddenly I spot this spider
Singing a ragtime song...
SQUASH.
