One Of Many Faces

Look at me.
From head to toe.
Then from front to back.
Do you notice anything?
Besides the fact my skin is black?

Represent I do,
One of many faces of America.
And not just a few,
You continue to deny and refuse...
This land is mine.
To declare it too.
Although my arrival,
Was meant to intend...
For your amusement to use,
As a tool to abuse.

Look at me.
Not as an animal.
You define me to be.
Throughout your re-written.
And fictioned history.
Whether like it or not,
To despise and disenfranchise.
Look me in my eyes.
I am the face of America.
Neither to hide or disguise,
My identity you ignore to recognize.

I am not,
A privileged pretentious...
Boastful white supremist.
Wishing to want it to be believed,
I am a descendant...
Of America's founding fathers.
Yet this I could claim.
Since my ancestors were given,
Different names...
By those who secretly bred them.
Like property to enhance,
The growth of their plantations.
No mention of this,
Is documented to depict...
In a history full with discrepancies.

Look at me!
I am one of many faces of America.
It has been you not me,
Taught to lie, cheat and deceive beliefs...
Of generations of families.
To teach them to accept,
Themselves to be better...
Than everyone else for centuries.
Never not to know,
The origin of truth and reality.

Look at me.
I am more multi-cultural...
Than you will ever be.
As well as the true image of democracy.
Is this what you hate?
To believe your delusions,
Are threatened to be replaced?
With it to become revealed,
Your face to image greatness...
Has lost its appeal?
And 'your' truth to have it sold,
Is less to value than sold fool's gold!

What is it that you hate most?
Is it my contributions,
To have made you can not erase?
Is that the reason,
You believe a power to grab and have it...
Will prove you to be,
Mentally victimized.
And misunderstood,
For all of your good deeds.
And this you want the World to see?
By destroying democracy and its quality?

Look at me.
I am one of many faces of democracy.
Is it the color of my skin,
That has made you create...
Conflict, racism.
And division to implement?

And...
This power you desire,
To control and rule over others?
Who are these others do you believe,
Are more patriotic.
And more loyal to the concept,
Of democracy.
Than the ones like me,
Who have stood by your side.
While you decide,
Lies to tell and fiction to delude...
Will rush to provide you,
A back to stand upon...
To keep you charading to masquerade,
Pretensions to imitate...
A place in history.
Revealing it to be faked.
To fraud and deceive.
Even those that endorsed and supported,
You with their loyalty.
Only to awaken to observe and see,
Your selfishness and greed to feed...
Ultimately has them,
Thrown under a bus.
To know...
There is nothing about you,
They could never again trust!

Look at me.
I am one of many faces of America.
And to ruin and destroy that reality,
Will be a price you pay...
Never to be forgiven to forget.

Take your power.
Grab it to have it.
Then what?
Claim a mistake you have made?
When you were told repeatedly,
Only fools inherit remorse and disgrace.

Look at me.
I am one of many faces of America.
Your home.
My home.
May your days lived in isolation,
Bring you everything you've dreamed!
