Aristotle’s corpus

our education very rarely taught us
anything of Aristotle’s corpus

logic was the aim of the Organon
a polymathic plane to find order in

Socrates of Athens
began, the western creed
by taking on the best
attest, to supersede

the genesis of Plato was sparked
by Socrates

Plato burned his poems and strived
for expertise

where his prose was silver Aristotle’s was of gold
let all the disquisitions one finds difference in; unfold
in modern days I look to sycophants who’ve been cajoled
by ignorant, but eloquent, conclusions that we’ve sold

the lexicon of noble men
well studied, higher grade

it’s humorous to see now how
societies decayed

so I can’t help belittle every
ace and accolade

comparing bones so brittle
to the greatest ever made.
