Feeding Upon The Helpless

Survive on a few handfuls of grain
It is your destiny to be in pain
To remain hungry and silent
To maintain your silent vigil across such a strange land

It is through no fault of your own we are chosen to prey
Like a conquering band in disarray
The saints maintain rule over the motherland
Preaching and teaching as they walk through the sand

A conquering breeze over the land
Your turn to govern the motherland
To be ruled by the conquering band
To prey and spy on the desirables
To kill all except the undesirables
To free the evil terror of the shameless
To inflict pain on the helpless

Love thy neighbour we were told
It is written in scriptures in bold
However which neighbours should we love
Does it depend on the white dove flying and gliding through
the sky observing the formation of the winter rain

Free the spirits of divinity
Oh the divine spirits of clarity and desirability
Will they ever lie?
