Galaxy

JD Holt 1961 (MS)

Galaxy

I want to experience,
Her celestial galaxy.
To kiss the stars,
while a full moon shines.

Placing one hand,
upon the bronze sun.
While the other,
cradles the blue Moon.

Caress the tenderness,
of the milky-way.
While the stars align,
awaiting my tender kiss.

As her comet,
races toward the Constellation.
In search of,
a super nova.

Suddenly all the stars,
align.
And a star cluster appears.
All is consumed,
by a black hole.

Once again,
the galaxy awaits,
It’s opportunity to shine.

I’m not a poet by my own definition. I enjoy the challenge of rhythm. A lost fan of the Romantic movement, out of time and place. more…
