Your memory brings only pain
Unwavering like a wine stain
I know you’ve been hurt
But your tempter kept me on high alert

I tried to make you proud
Yet your criticism was so very loud
Still you wonder why
I have chosen to say goodbye

You never wanted me
That I can finally see
You failed me as a mom
Know I say this truly calm
