yesterday we got the words forever tattooed
tonight I texted during the party, we argued and I’m feeling the emotional toll with every changed mood
went home early because I missed you, I couldn’t have fun because I needed you
maybe it’s best we just end it all together
I said I love you, five minutes later you said it back,
bending backwards for your approval,
staying up until 4 am just for a one word text from you  
I waited an extra 10 minutes after I said good night to see if you’ll reply and when you didn’t I closed my eyes and tried not to cry
