Fresh Flesh

Needless to say but said anyway.
Greed to feed on it fed,
Will always have its investors.
With a leaving mentalities,
Effectively infested.

And more this need to greed,
Becomes difficult to cure and heal...
A disease that welcomes an addiction.
To seek desperately that 'fix'.

So incredible this is,
To have this sickness regarded...
As a normal way to live.
With an unconscious willingness,
That makes us all...
Donate our heads to hit brick walls.

We must,
Develop better innovative ways...
To kill that cannibalistic beast within us.
Seeking to hunt fresh flesh to devour.
As a metaphor of course.
Hypothetically speaking!

'I had suggested,
A changing of our diets.
Years ago.
To become more vegetarian.
And not depend on so much meat to eat.'

'What are you talking about?'

'Your metaphor.
I've never heard of that animal before.
Is it in the beef or pig family?'

'Finish with your vegetarian explanation.'

'Well...
I was sitting having lunch one day,
With a friend.
And he said,
He was tossing and munching...
On this delicious fish salad.
To then hear it scream then giggle.'

'I think this friend of yours,
Was referring to something else.
And...
As usual,
I can rely on you to misinterpret reality.
Since I doubt your friend,
Meant vegetables had been tossed.'

'Then...'

'No!
Enough.
I am talking about what greed does,
To the minds of people to addict them.
Until nothing else is as important,
Than to kill themselves...
On false impressions to make.
Just to attract fresh flesh to use as bait.
And this is done too often!'

'Okay.
I can understand that.
But...
The cannibal eating metaphors.
Makes no sense to me.'

'Yet...
A friend tossing a giggling salad does?'

'Yeah.
His description of it,
Was easier for me to believe...
I too could become a vegetarian.'

'Remind me the next time we meet,
To buy a box of crayons and a work pad.
A big one.'

'Okay. Why?
One of us,
May have a need to explain to the other...
The Sun, the Moon, Earth and Stars.
And...
What makes the night different from day!'

'Wow!
That should be exciting!'

'And hopefully by then,
I will be fully medicated.'

'Sometimes you say,
The most craziest things!'

'You have no idea,
What it takes for me to try not to do it!'

'That's funny.'

'I agree.
And...
I am going to hold my laughter.
As best as I can.
Until I get home.
Then laugh and laugh hysterically.'
