Awake, my eyes closed.
I see dancing images.
A kaleidoscope!

About this poem

Diagnosed with ocular sarcoidosis, I thrive comfortably with this experience: Swirling colorful patterns, neurons firing with excitation on my brain, phosphenes of electrical charges on my retina, a kaleidoscope of energy.
