COLD

Some refer her to a ghost,
From the past back get her scores,
Other calls her cold,
A ruthless leaving no friends nor fore's.
She is blessed with looks,
Enough to sway one from thy feet,
Her eyes black but blazing fire behind the nooks,

Her temperament, with a posture a perfect fit.

But only she knows,
The tears behind those eyes has shed,
The ephialtes that in she drowns,
Each and every day, anger her only shade.
A fuel to keep her going,
Like crouches to keep her from falling,
Together like glue holding,
Herself, she has to do the scolding.

Those close to her knows better,
Than to judge from the actions,
No need to read from newsletter,
To get adequate exactions.

A heart lost in the meadows,
Afraid to receive any warmth,
For the past still lurks in the shadows,
Heartbreak still like a froth.

Oh love what have you done?
Such a pure soul turned to a zombie
Aren't you supposed to be an antidote?
Then why turn her life to a movie?

About this poem

It was inspired by a soap opera (Killer bride) It made see in other light how sometimes we tend to stay away from the warmth because we are afraid that once we melt that ice in our heart, we will be fragile and get hurt again.
