Savor life

Uma Maheshwari 1993 (Secunderabad)

Sometimes life is just too hard,
You dear, just don’t let down your guard,
The challenges , hurdles and trials can grow,
Like the hailstones before the glacial snow.

Life is never certain , So smile and say  “this also shall pass”,
And to make up the best of this moment
The relentless rays of the sun does not even spare the grass
Without a sign of atonement,
Dries it into hay and decay.
So does the human body one day.
Thus, cut down the misery and make ones life happy and gay.

It’s okay to cry yourself to sleep,
like it’s a lullaby
Even a dormant chrysalis blooms into a butterfly.
Sad and hard days come and go,
Just like the lunar beam glow
That is piercing and cold
Yet is always followed by the daylight,
Which is endearing and gold.
