Tipping point

[Dream: A wish of the heart while in slumber]

Standing at the edge of dreams and reality
I thought I knew where I wanted to be
Until I awoke from my slumber deep
And found that dreams were not mine to keep
A wish of the heart now dimming fast
Soon a mere mist just eluding my grasp
When the dawn breaks I’ll rise again
But does a dream die when I leave the bed?
