The Joke's on you

Mary Helen Trujillo 1987 (Colorado)

You may never ever know what I’m going through
You may never ever know what my love can do
But one day you are gonna know that you were the fool
Like an office prank on April Fool’s, the joke’s on you
Now let me share with all of you a little clue
He’s the only one I’d give “My All,” to find and lose
If you’re thinking it’s a love I’ve lost
Then you’re still confused
And like the funny pages in the news, the joke’s on you
