Deep within a hidden cave
Lives an old man
An ancient slave
He digs all day
And builds all night
Determined to construct a burial site:
An endless coffin for life
An immortal grave for death
And a confined cemetery of souls
Whose voices unsoundingly whisper:

Mary Helen Trujillo

Mary Helen Trujillo was born April 16, 1987, in Denver CO. She is a long-time writer and lyricist, recently published. Though she wears many hats, having gone to school for automotive technology, being an emergency medical dispatcher for over a decade, a mother, daughter, friend and wife, her love for writing and healing through poetry remains strong and deeply rooted.
