Christingle

As the candles were glowing and brightly burning.
I was quietly praying and my heart was yearning
for that peace and love that only Jesus can bring
to flood into our world all the people reaching.

Then my soul was lifted up and began singing
because as the earth around its poles was spinning.
Christ was reaching out with forgiveness and healing
and God's light unfettered and unbound revealing.
