Regular Us

they don't write stories about women like me.
they don't write about the mediocre,
the everyday life, just barely make it out alive people like me.
they want the bright and shining armor.
the diamond in the rough.
not me.
not like me.
and I'm okay with it.
some stories aren't meant to be told.
yet.

About this poem
