Cold Weather

Larry Wells Jr 2003 (Nevada)

Warm days and good times
Taken for granted lost to me now

To empty emotions I bow
Once again I lift the pen and start

To write what some call art
Provides to me support I've never known

To have what I can call my own
Yet again the ache I feel is very much real

To find some way to deal
Is the goal but for me

To understand how and who to be
Is beyond my grasp

To me all was set but now I gasp
Lost to me now taken for granted

To days of cold weather enacted
Gone be warm days and good times
