Family in the Fall

Family together in the yard have fun
Dad and kids run around playing ball
Mother sat down to soak in the sun
Shine so bright wouldn’t believe it’s fall

The family dog barks at every sound
Doing his job keeps us protected
Scaring animals back into the ground
A little too loud; he needs to be corrected

Yard as large as a modern farm
Trees stand tall they are our British guard
White picket fence keeps us from harm
Perfection can be found in this yard

House so large could be the white house
The kitchen filled with a delicious smell
A home-cooked dinner, made by my spouse
She knows what we love all too well

A happy family at dinner
I couldn’t feel more like a winner
