Trust in Him

Kimm Herrmann 1960 (Pennsylvania)

Ode

A babe was born in a far off land
He came to save our souls
How it is we honor Him
 Is our most important goal
We should praise Him for the love He shows
  us each and every day
He stays with us through all we do
  And hears everything we say
If we are mean and harsh or cruel
 To others that we know
He doesn't turn his back on us
In fact, His love just grows
He keeps us very close to Him
And holds us oh so dear
He tries to ease our pain and grief
 And alleviate our fears
He strengthens and encourages us
 To always do what's right
Our lives are often difficult
And we have to choose our fights
To keep our faith and trust in Him
To guide us on our way
He'll walk with us and talk to us
And teach us what to say
We must cherish the love He shows
And the precious love He gave
He did it for each one of us
It's for us He died to save
Show thanks give praise to everyone
At this Blessed Time of Year
And keep Jesus closest to your heart
 And always hold Him dear
