Deathbed

Shireen Munshi 2005 (Uttar pradesh)

I opened my stars to see the shine
Caught in a battle of death and life
Wanted to see my mom before she died
Am I curse to be for demise

Pushing harder and harder she did all for me
Craving me in her arms her soul had flee
I betrayed her I think
My spine shivers my heart sinks

Here, I am only fourteen and pale
Hoping to dream about some gorgeous removing my veil
I couldn't live it upto that day
This is what the god says

The bed feels warmer but my body is cold
My father abandoned me as the birth wasn't bold
I am all alone spending last hours with my body
My soul will take off as a martyr's glory

Prodigious shush, divine tenebrosity
Near is my affair of desiccation
And no one to cremate as they have already buried
All through my life an absolute stillness achieved
