All Is Fair In Love and War

All is fair in love and war
And I don't say this to be a bore
Cause I'm sure you've already been told
But i say it only so you can really grab a hold

The godless man may pray at night
In hopes that someday soon he might
Again gaze into those eyes
Even one last time before he dies

The one with a pad and a pencil
Who wants to be more than a stencil
Like the old black and whites
Stuck in a loop for countless nights

He refuses to be a number
He wants to take a shot like Burr
And I mean can you blame him
Not wanting his mark on the world to be dim

Cause all is fair in love and war
He'd travel from near to afar
No matter what he had to ride
If only to be by their side
