Sittin By The River

sittin by the river, thinkin bout you

watching the water that looks so blue

sittin by the river watching it flow

will it drown her memory, I just don't know

rememories of her locked in my mind

sealed in my thoughts,unmoved by time

sittin by the river, love makes you drunk , like drinking

wine, the river knows she made a fool of you

she took your love just for fun, you didn't see it coming

you'll never learn

she never loved you it was plain, it takes a fool to play

this crazy game

you sit by the river,  closed in by the pain

hoping your heart can take the strain, the river shouts

out, you are down and out and blue, you might have

known, love would make a fool of you

her only plan, never to be true

love is blind, that's what is said, fools rush to it everyday

sittin by the river, you hear it say, love is a game

we all play
