Why Me
Why me? Why my life? Everyone I like taken or in love with someone else. Dark soul, black, mysterious.
Ha! What a laugh.
It feels like knives have been struck through my heart.
Broken shattered pieces everywhere.
Each piece resembling a part of my pain.
As the flames rise, my tears fall.
Draining out the pain tear after tear.
Why Me?
I asked myself this question everyday, but I never received an answer.
So I stopped asking.
About this poem
I was a young teenager confused, lost, and all around misunderstood. That is when I placed it all out on paper. I have submitted this poem before, but to my best estimate it was over 10+years ago.
