Procrastinate

Ok time to get some work done
When it’s good, it's quite fun
Lock the door and make it quiet
Now to type up a riot
Write some words and a pun.
                    *sigh*
There's that flashy dipshit
Always taunting me to quit
I won’t be broken by a cursor
“Listen to me, I’m an author”
Ignore him, “calm down” recommit.
                  *Harrumph*
Now that damn clock chimes in
Ha, it won't get under my skin
As its hands do their waltz
Slowly to the pace of my pulse
Need a new draft, the editors waitin.
                 *close eyes*
Think, think think think
Just one idea that doesn’t stink
Look at the time I should go
Nearly time for that Netflix show
I’ll just take a break and a mixed drink.
