" Shouting from the cheap seats "

Joseph Cooper 1950 (VICKSBURG, MS)

In absence,
it tends to make the mind to wonder.
To see ourselves,
in times to ponder.

To make judgements,
whether they be right or wrong.
In written words,
we express in poetry and song.

Our emotions,
are always put to the test.
Our inner strengths,
makes the decisions on what is best.

Loneliness is the state,
we inflect into ourself.
Happiness is rewarded,
In time without stress.

We are governed,
to not be one but two.
To share this message,
I would like to truly thank you

About this poem

We all sit and ponder about our past, present and future. We make decisions both good and bad. How we accept them and is the truth so hard to find?
