Thanksgiving

Bill Robbins 1972 (Sommerville)

A holiday that’s a  time to give thanks,
Not the way to draw blanks.
To eat the bird and get very stuffed,
Then we watch nfl football and get puffed.
The way it is and always will be.
Thanksgiving a time to celebrate thee. Only comes year.
Drink plenty of eggnog and ready to cheer.
The way to spread the way it is.
Of course you know it’s show biz.
Give thanks for what you have and own.
Just like me fully blown.
Drinking lots of beer and wine.
Don’t get to drunk and stay very thine.
Word can pass the ultimate plan.
To hope you understand.
With every content little girl and boy.
Never forget about the little ploy.
