OUT OF THE UNKNOWN

Horrors from an unknown place
Explode into our universe,
Taunting. teasing, killing
Like some Lovecraftian curse.

Demons from an unknown time
Marauding across the planet,
Devouring man and beast alike
Spreading unearthly torment.

Crushing like a hurricane
Anything within their wake,
Even cities beneath their leviathan bulk
More terror than the mind can take.

Shoggoth-like shrilling
Echoing throughout the night,
Until even fearless Night Gaunts
Take to worried flight.

Elephantine beings lumber
Across entire continents and more,
Crushing buildings, cars, and people
Till moving on to foreign shores.

Invading our universe
Come beasts of unspeakable shape,
Destroying who continents
Leaving bloody death in their wake.

Nightmare visits torment humanity
Driving them insane by the hundred
Unable to cope with what they’re seeing
As flying demons pillage and plunder.
