Signs of Christmas

An Artisan’s ornament with crystal beads,
Tops off the tree, a lucky deed.

Apprentices stay awake, forgo greed,
The nativity story aloud they read.

Innovators follow red-nosed Rudolph’s lead,
Delivering surprises in swift speed.

Peacemakers honor cease-fire decreed,
Motivated by Christ’s loving creed.

Christians pray for those lost and in need.
Each hungry orphan they feed.

Around the corner, Christmas carols
implant a euphoric seed.

Let no ugly pretense mislead,
Or defiant notion impede.

At Christmastime may hidden
Kind-heartedness be freed!
