The Arrow and The Man
I sit at the window, as the day is dark and dreary,
when I sit there as I read, I start to grow weary.
I saw something fly by,
it ripped right through the sky.
There she was, standing there,
A dance I wanted to share.
I grabbed my shoes and my cane,
I thought I was going insane.
There we were in the rain, dancing,
just her and I were prancing.
There it was, the arrow once more,
and it ripped right through her core.
I awoke to a book on my chest,
and shoes off my feet,
and clothes on me dry,
I stood there thinking, I didn't even say Goodbye.
