Stunning Revelation

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

Believe this or not.
But a discovery of the unknown,
Can have its advantages.
Shown.

Recently...
Someone approached me to say,
We are all a family of human beings.
Living as Inhabitants.
Feeding to feast upon an Earth.
We all consciously take for granted.

Although the one thing,
God has created us not to feel...
Are our emotions felt to have,
We can express them.
Yet not shared them to feel addressed.
And I stood and thought to myself,
Were they testing my reaction...
As stunning as that revelation had been.
When purposely stepping on my foot?
Then leaving me alone,
Accepting that action.
Feeling the meaning of being disrespected?
With it wished more than that to share,
To make them aware of how I felt!
But no.
I stood there.
Thinking how God,
Could have made us better human beings!
