A Captive Mind

I try to escape,
But my mind is to loud

Chaos.

Screaming and crying
Smiling at you.

I want to explain
But my mouth runs dry.

Needing to be saved;
Non existing words.

A foreign language
Stumble out my mouth.

I want to explain,
But you won't understand.

Chaos.

About this poem

It's about a girl who struggles with depression and anxiety, who feels like she's screaming and crying on the inside while she is smiling on the outside. She can't find the words to ask for help or to talk to someone.
