Dark skin
A young man with ambitions great,
Went out in the world to challenge fate.
What he was met with, was completely unexpected,
It shook him o the core, and left him wounded.
He had skills which had never been seen,
But anyone he approached was always mean.
Not because he was young, not because he had a rebellious spark,
They were mean to him just because his skin was dark.
The young man wandered the streets day and night,
Wondering whether his dark skin was really the reason of his plight.
He was insulted and humiliated wherever he went,
Faced everywhere with hate and resentment.
The young man's heart was too soft to bare it,
He wanted to escape the miserable pit.
They poor young man found solace in the loop of rope,
With him perished his bright hope.
What do those cruel people win,
By calling people like that young man vermin.
Do these people really think that someone as great as them is none,
When the acts committed by them are so inhuman.
We have to learn to stop this nonsensical prejudice,
We have to save the innocent people from that unyielding vice.
What's wrong if their skin in dark?
Why does this small difference make them the reciever of a scathing remark?
Learn to respect everyone, no matter their appearance,
Stop filling your head with utter nonsense.
Everyone deserves pride and dignity,
No matter what their nationality.
