Passion, Pain And Fear

Joel Daniel 1959 (California)

My soul burns with poetry.
My mind aches with words not articulated.
My heart overflows with love unanswered.
I am a child born of passion, pain and fear.
Yet- nobody can see the stain on the floor,
left there by my heart's tear...

Laugh and the world laughs with you,
    Cry and you cry alone
For this old earth must borrow its mirth
But has trouble enough of its own !
