Like the Ocean

Like the ocean, life has many ups and downs. There are moments of tranquility where the winds still moves me forward but oh so gently. Helping me reach the warm sands. Then the darkness creeps in, pulling me further away under the tides, pulling me further from the light. I struggle to breathe, finally opening my eyes and I see the ripples and glittering of the water. Seeing the life within the many hues of blue. I finally break free to light and meet the warm sand. And as I look back I realize that like the ocean I am both light and dark earth and water.
