Catfished

Pin Lim 1982 (Montreal)

Catfished

As the world is slowly recovering from a never-ending virus
There's still a long way before we can forget and move on from this crisis
Countless lives and job losses plus the amount of hate and discrimination
People want someone to blame to hide their pain and frustration

Trying to meet people was already difficult enough already
Add to the mix the countless dating apps to no one surprise (it's not free)
People and companies want to take advantage of the fragile suckers
Swiping left and right until you finally see a pop-up to a potential lover

You begin to chat back and forth with this person; you're in a world of wonders
This person seems too good to be true so you ponder what's more to discover?
You're in the stance of feeling the notion of if you passed the grade
Hoping you did enough to have a connection been made

Joy and excitement flow throughout your body like nirvana but...
Something doesn't feel right you're about to find out more of this drama
Pieces of inconsistency start to show to which you realize you've been a bait and switched
That perfect profile is no longer available or some random f*ck played you like a bitch.
