Mila’s radiant smile lit up
the night sky like a
nuclear
blast and
helped
us
see
our
x-rayed
fingers through
leather gloves and skin
à la Día de los Muertos.

Luminescent calaveras
modestly color
ancestral
star treats
with
sugar
skulls
on
Aztec
altars as
marigold orange
as Mila’s sexy skeleton
