a broken mind

The words "I love you" mean nothing to a broken soul. "Beautiful" means nothing to a broken mind. The heart, body and soul broken and lacking what it truly needs, pieces fall to the ground like autumn leaves. As we drift apart like clouds on a summer day. yet the sun doesn't shine as bright as we used to. The stars and moon are nothing compared to clean air, but I still cannot breathe. Trapped under the water as if I'm too heavy to float. Maybe my thoughts weigh more than I can take. So, I lay in bed at the dead of night and wonder if I do anything right...

About this poem
