Global Oppression - Spoken Word

To imagine the unimaginable,
or to make it come true.

I have a dream, world peace will be the only truth.

Humanity is dying out.
The youth glued to their screens.
Nobody wants to teach them about world peace.
That’s why we have youngsters with guns and violence, shooting people they once thought were family.

Afghanistan is dying.
Falisteen (Palestine) stripped of their land.
Lebanon is starving, but we don't care about any of that.

Our heads are down, Our ears are blocked.
We forget about the people burning in burma!

And what about Yemen, in a huge human crisis.
Starvation and droughts, that’s all they know yet we don't have a clue about what’s going on.

Take a look at Syria, a country made of glass.
Easy to break, hard to piece together.
Kids without parents, Kids without forever.

Guns, Grenades, GARBAGE!

And how many more mothers will have to go another day, of losing their children and screaming in pain.

Agony and grief
PTSD

We live in a society where their Mental Health isn’t talked about.  I apologize for the wounds of the soul that we imprinted on these people suffering

Pakistan is on the edge of poverty,
People on the streets begging for something to live on.
The world overlooks this.

Let’s not forget about a huge genocide happening amongst us. They surpassed the number of Jews in the holocaust. Uyghurs of China in concentration camps made for “education”.

Stripped of their beliefs.
Stripped of their homes.
Stripped of their families.
And stripped of their clothes.
Their Identity gone.

I, too, wonder if the world hears the cries of women and children, tormented and sold like objects without value. This is the reality that we’re living in. Oppression, Aggression, Suppression.

They judge us by a piece of fabric on our heads claiming that it makes them “uncomfortable”.
They judge us by the clothes we wear or the facial hair that men have. To them we’re terrorist’s when we’re the people of peace, trying to reconcile still that's not what they see.

But, we’re forgetting we got the most victorious on our side, Allah the Almighty!  And as a palestinian once said “The rockets might be above us, but they’re forgetting Allah is above them”.

So to the countries who are banning our clothes and to women's rights activists that don’t speak up when it’s OUR choice to wear what we want, do your worst. You’re just another chess piece in God’s plan.

I have a dream where we end this mess, rest, reset,
live in a world where none of this exists.
I have a dream where Palestinians can say they’re free again.
I have a dream where violence is prohibited, no bloodshed.
I have a dream where we unite, no matter the colour of our skin or what’s apparent on our heads.
I have a dream where world peace will be the answer for you and I in the end.
