NIGHT GAMES (The Babadook is Creeping)

The Babadook is creeping
Around your house at night,
Hoping soon to greet you
And make you die of fright.

He carries with him a sickle
Just like the Grim Reaper,
Wearing a top hat and black coat
Like some midnight creeper.

He's playing with your mind
Enjoying his loathsome games,
Hoping soon to murder you
Or drive you quite insane.

Mind Games are is favourites
The games he loves to play,
Torturing your body and soul
Creeping off before the day.

He loves to leave you broken-heart
As well as breaking your mind,
And as your doom approaches
Slowly you become resigned.

Resigned to the awful fate
The Babadook always brings,
Monstrous dreams of suffering
And loathsome crawling things.

Tormenting you all night
Slinking off at the break of dawn,
Then back again the next night
To leave your life forlorn.

The Babadook is creeping
Round your bed this evil night,
Deciding the games must end now
As at last, he takes your life.
