Once In a While

Teresa Whitney 1951 (Tacoma)

Once in awhile,
Love comes around,
When least expected,
In tears you are bound,

Recalling those memories,
Within your head,
The ones that you wished for,
Not those that you dread,

Memories are lingering,
Close to your heart,
Thoughts of recalling,
Attempting to part,

Wishing to keep,
This love that you feel,
Because we know,
This love is so real.
