Invisible

Invisible 1986 (Charlotte)

I speak
yet there is no memorable sound
Passion in my words
Much thought goes in
I sit and contemplate what to say
I research for the better
When frustrated I think and think
So that when I do say what I'm feeling
It is said in clear fashion
My mouth opens
But nothing is heard
The deeply thought out words escape my lips
The tears flow because the courage was built
to not only form the words but to share them as well
My lips move
vocal cords vibrate
But never a word received
All fall on death ears
No matter the love or thought put in
No matter the strength and pride it took to say
No words penetrate the ears of the ones I love
Am I invisible?
Do I not exist?
Do the words I speak not matter?
It's obvious they don't
So why speak at all
