Progress And Change

Progress to make without change to face.
Is no different than updating,
What is familiar to rejuvenate...
An accommodating decisions made,
By those fearing change.
And how they should,
Anticipate it to tolerate.

Leaving the past behind,
To have lived it had...
Is as traumatic for many.
That can be compared to children,
Being forced to experience...
Going to school for their first time.
Regardless of tantrums thrown.
And relying upon tears to cry.

Yet...
The bigger picture not packed,
In carried backpacks kids carry...
Are the facts of progress and change.
A moving ahead,
Is seldom, if ever, done without the other!
Even hypocrisy,
Has left many living in denial.

The process of progress and change,
Torments those advocating...
For aging of comfortable ways,
To remain and stay the way they are.
Hoping no one notices,
What grows gets old to wither then dies.
And nothing man-made,
Achieves immortality status.
Not even power to grab it to have it!

Although...
Self serving,
And thoughtless self deception.
Greed and exclusive feasting,
Upon fiction to delude.
Fraud, corruption,
Along with such addicting...
Mindless unconscious nonsense.
Can be attributed to the ignorance,
That has become...
A lucrative and marketing tool.
Bought and sold by too many...
Believing themselves trendsetters.
And fashionable fad grabbers.
Chosen and anointed to prove...
What God has done to choose,
They can undo without punishment!
However...
Making noticeable the difference,
Between having a consciousness...
And none!
