Love Will Come

Kelly Reagle 1983 (Breinigsville)

Love Will Come

I faced a lot of challenges throughout my life,
Never really knew if one day I would be someone’s wife.
Not long after high school, that dream came true,
I became someone’s wife, not knowing that marriage would turn blue.

Years went by with more than one doubt,
Just sitting in my room trying not to pout.
I came to realize I cannot lie in this situation,
It just caused anxiety, depression, and a bad complication.

A few more years went by I found someone new thinking this was the one,
A year after the wedding, life for me was once again done.
I thought after that, maybe it’s me,
Maybe I don’t want to be with anyone, maybe I want to be free.
A couple of years dating here and there,
Pretty much lead me to nowhere.

Until one day, out of the crystal blue sky,
There came a shadow of some guy.
A guy whose soul is pure and true.
A rare thing to come by, only one in a few.

You see, trying to find love could be a trail with a hard climb,
If you sit back and not try so hard, love will find you in due time.

About this poem

Ths poem is about how my life started out in the beginning and continued to grow weak until one day a guy pure and true came through the shadows.
