Switch

Omike John 1993 (Delta)

Play in a beach
Wound got a stitch,
Risk could be bridged
Turn off the switch.

Sweet like a tea
Peel out the bean
Fill all the seat
Make a switch.

Bulb looking boring
Life crying sorry
God saying glory
You have a story

Time to pull over
Dine now is Passover
Come closer because it is all
Over.
Just made a switch.

This poem can be read in two ways.
One as a person who is on a ledge and crying in pain for euthanasia too early.
The other as a 'doctor' talking them down so they can still smell
Maybe it has both ie self love who is yet undecided about whether to switch off their heart to the body or wants to switch off someone elses heart to get their thoughts on it.
But we don't want slavery anymore. All rights, free will etc but
Keeping thoughts to ourselves isn't right either, but that's free will and limits we all push about sensorship, laws of the universe, social influence, friendship time etc
When are people going to stop worrying about rap poetry and slow down the rap about poetry.

Thanks for the contribution although the poem is beyond "rap" but centered more on humanity making the right decisions that leads to finding fulfilment..
