Lavender Love

It sways gently like a lavender field,
Where unwanted weed and roots yield,
Rich violet shades of royalty,
All which bow before the king,

Seeds and seeds of generations,
Spread within our vast nations,
Upon thousands and thousands of petals,
Is where love and joy settle,

And standing there he awaits,
Even when the blossoms bloom late,
No howling could ever uproot,
The ground beneath his very foot,

For it is not the view you see beyond His shoulders,
But how it is viewed by the eye of the beholder.

About this poem

His love forever waits for us, not forced but subtle. I used to think I was waiting for Him, but all in reality I was running away.
