with just a smile

as the sun drowns my sorrows,
away with the misery yet it still exist
in the mist of all the pain you were there
with just a little bit of light you came in
like a brand new kid you brought hope

how do i comprehend such?
the laughter we share makes it all worth it
though you aren't mine i still wish for you,
for you to carry out your wishes
for you to bring the very same light to others

i really hate to share you,
could lock you in my brain and you would be mine
be mine and mine alone, riding with me,
we could ride to the ends of the world
where i wont have to share your love

your like a dream briefly dreamt
a premonition in the works
i keep on fight to keep my head above water
yet with just a scent you bring me to my knees
though you were an illusion and you still are my secret

beauty comes in the form of you
your dark humor is truly invective
your bright smile shines to the depth of my soul
my synapses firing out your every move
and all i want is to be with you and you alone..

About this poem

this is about just a lady i would truly love to open my heart to yet i still can find it in my heart to let it all out as she is a friend a truly wish i have known what she would become as the days went by. we are just too perfect for one another in my head yet i am still wondering if i could ever measure up to being able to come clean to her.
