For Pop
Debra Vastag 1969 (Philadelphia)
I know it wasn't long
I knew it wasn't wrong
I knew you were in pain
I know that pain is gone.
You came into my life
Like a breath of fresh air
You stole my heart
And you will always be there.
You told me stories of your life
We laughed (I cried)
But you changed my life.
You made me realize
That no matter what you dispize
You can't make everybody happy
No matter how hard you try.
Our time was brief
Now I must grieve
I will see you again one day
That I do believe.
I fell in love with your family
I fell in love with you
Not a day passes
That I don't think of you.
