Resist, it's not futile!

Deceitful despots master new ways,
To coerce and break more people.
Heaven help those, who raise their voice,
Fight back, and not be sheeple.

They'll amputate you like a sick limb,
To halt you spreading banned ideas.
Not long ago you may have been praised,
Yet now attacked, with active measures.

"Resistance futile, comply now",
They'll sick their hounds barking.
Secret police serve masters well,
Bankrupt and leave you starving.

Once undesirable you've become,
Heroic deeds summarily forgotten,
For standing up, speaking your mind,
Tossed out, deprived of income.

Essential you're only as serfs,
Cheered on with vacuous catchphrases,
So heavier burdens you will bear,
They'll put you through your paces.

While giving all, perform selfless deeds,
Man frontlines, and forge forward.
They'll suck you dry, ignore your needs,
Then beat the unbending downward.

Our country lives, and is made strong,
Through Americans' daily struggles,
With hearts and souls, the working class.
Abused by no class, elitist scoundrels.

Their need to rule spreads like disease,
Much worse than any virus.
And those with eagerness to please,
Lick master's boots ... blind puppies.

To rulers, you're useful, while you serve,
Don't question, keep head down.
Obey the edicts of the dimly lit,
Grin stupidly and dare not frown.

Living your life and being free,
Pursuing ways to be happy.
This sticks in craw of the upper crusts,
Servants must be kept needy.

From history most rarely learn,
Yet it would teach all plenty,
Oppression always wells from those,
Craving the reigns of country.

Purges of the yesteryear are here,
Destroying those with courage,
Tormentors rule, divide, disdain.
Fighting for rights, strongly discouraged.

But calloused fist, of those oppressed,
Will strike back sooner or later,
So heed the warning, yee who "lead",
Your fates, from heights will crater.
